The religion I have the most respect for is
Jainism - the five principles of it are : pacifism
honesty : non materialism : celibacy : trust - they
will not harm any living thing and eschew the right of
self defence : a Jainist would rather die than harm any
other individual no matter what the circumstances - they are
vegetarians too as they cannot harm animals either - they do not
believe in owning possessions and abstain from sex notwithstanding
for the purpose of pro creation - they do not believe in lying or stealing
Do of course have metaphysical beliefs but do not proslelytize - if theirs was
the only religion I guarantee you that atheists would have nothing to worry about
The worst thing I can say about them is that they have a reverse swastika for a symbol
but as they pre date Third Reich by a magnitude of over four thousand years that is nothing
more than an unfortunate but entirely coincidental association with Fascism - but definitely a belief
system no non believer would have a problem with - end of - so unobtrusive most have never heard of it
