I actually wouldn't wish rape on anyone and i would assume any reported rape until proven otherwise was true, just as I would assume any suicide attempt, was a genuine act of wishing to not exist anymore until proven otherwise, rather than a cry for help or attention. Suicide is final, there are better ways of asking for help such as "Please help me. I feel sad."

It's a dangerous game RocketScientist plays for the real victims of rape. Aren't you just giving more reason to rape victims to not come forward? I can just imagine them saying to themselves now "no one would believe me because people think most rapes didn't happen". Aren't you giving more justification to those that actually committed the crimes? More excuses. The number one goal of a rapist is to get away with it, just like with any other criminal. "Bank? What Bank? I didn't rob any bank! I wasn't even near the scene of the crime when it happened! Oh... you have my cell phone bouncing off a cell phone tower nearby? Well I have no idea why that would be officer. Somebody mustve taken my cell phone while I was asleep! (oh no the officer isn't buying it) officer! I swear it wasn't me!....1 hour later: Okay, maybe i was in the vicinity while it happened." => progression of the interrogation taking little aquiecences on the part of the bank robber until the truth comes out.

That's how criminals work.
