Hey there! I'm new to this site. I've jumped into the deep end and posted a link on the religion section but thought to introduce myself as well. I was brought up as a christian by my family. I really believed in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit when I was younger. As a child you're more prone to believe I guess...As I grew older I started to ask more questions and also wondering about certain things. There are just too many things that don't add up and I'm now veering towards the atheist side. I hope that some of you can share your thoughts and opinions with me. Here are some:
1: If God was so powerful why doesn't he appear on earth (the way he did back in the good 'ol days)?
2: The Bible was written by man. Why believe in someone elses opinions? (man is corrupt and sinfull by nature remember!)
3: We evolved from apes. Fact. Not from someones rib (not making a lot of sense to me...)
4: I have a lot of Christian friends and I don't know one of them who didn't have sex before marriage (sorry but you all gonna burn in hell!). O but then again the Bible contradicts itself on that one...
These are just a few thoughts. Please give me some more ammo!
