The patristics are generally recognised and used in the interpretation of the bible, both by Catholics, Orthodox and some protestants as well. And in all cases, by the vast majority of Christians in the world (the Catholics and Orthodox alone represent 1.6 billion, out of 2 billion Christians, then you can add the remaining protestants who are not extremely divergent in doctrine).
