I find it curious that God chose to use the measurement unit 'Cubit' which, if I remember correctly, was the length of the distance between a man's elbow and fingers. This unit wasn't standardised and varied from region to region (and forearm to forearm, one would expect!). It's curious to me that this unchanging deity whose commands are absolute would use such an ambiguous method of measurement.
"NOAH," said God. "NOAH, BUILD A BOAT OF ... about this long. I'll give you some wiggle room."
I mean, he went to all the trouble of imparting his boat schematics to Noah, but then let him use a shitty measurement system to build it? Sure, it probably wouldn't have hindered or help Noah, but why not impart the metric system to his favourite guy?
