Basically birth control is covered in my company's policy as "maintenance" or "preventative" medicine, which insurers are really pushing right now because it costs them money as well to pay for someone having a kid or getting sick, blah blah. What the employer would be able to do is say "no, we don't want birth control included in our policy - that premium everyone pays will not allow anyone who wants it to get contraceptives."
So basically I'm fine with paying a premium every month that allows my coworker to keep smoking and going to the doctor constantly for it because the same policy allows me to do my own shit and no one gets bothered. But if suddenly my boss decides that the smoking is okay but birth control isn't...I'll be finding another job.
