Yeah, that is kinda the point of the JEWISH GENELOGY (That word means family tree) in Matthew And Luke. You can not fully know Christ unless you know the ins and outs of Judaism.

It comes from people who want to try and disown all the awful things that were written in the old testament. It is included in the bible for a reason.
