I really don't want to break your heart by being rude...
But do you know what a mongrel is?
I'd show you the modern mongrel nations of our world, those who can't even call themselves a real ethnicity, they are a social construct.
America, England, France, Spain...
Nations, but not ethnicities.
We are both a nation, and an ethnic group.
We are not like the Brits, who despite talking a germanic language(with more than half of their vocabulary being of latin/anglo-french/greek words) use the name of a celtic tribe, nor like the french, despite talking a bastardized version of latin, claim the name of a germanic tribe, nor like the spaniards, another social construct which lacks unity within itself...
Calling us a mongrel, before looking at what you yourself are?
Whatever we do, how much we marry and breed with foreigners, we cannot be ever as mongrelized as most of the western world is.
I'm sorry, but these are the sad facts, my mongrel friend.

I don't measure my own worth on what my ancestors have done. I earn it by myself.

Inbreeding is nothing to be proud of by the way

Friend, I've said it thousands of times before.
I deal in terms of numbers and nations.
I measure the worth of my people in what our ancestors have done, and what we can amount to in the future.
I measure my individual worth in how I can be of service to my own people, and how I can aid in creating a better future for them.

Sounds like a useful language..

So you belong to the group therefore its the best one?

And do you disregard the many social and technological advances of the groups? I see those more useful traits to be honest.

It does not have to be necessarily the best one. As our founder Atatürk said, "Our goal is to reach the level of the modern civilisations.".
Our ancestry, our history, and our national pride are of course the candles that light our way to this goal. It is known that we are not on the same level with some nations in terms of economy, and technology.
But we do have the potential of becoming even greater than the ones we take as an example on these fields.
This comes only through unity, friend.
By believing in one's nation, and people.
If we would disregard the notion that our nation is a nation to be proud of, and to be loved and cherished, we would have perished long, long ago, and probably withered away amongst the multitudes of foreigners who encircle us.
But we believed that us Turks could archive more than our neighbors could ever archive. And through that, we have created empires from the ashes of old ones, or simply from the start, or declared ourselves kings, whereas we were taken in as slaves.

I'm taking all of these into account when I say that we are one of the greater nations and people on earth, even if we are not the most numerous, most technologically advanced, or economically strong nations.
