Before 2020 I expect every family to have mandatory webcams in their children's bedrooms "so that the government can take its responsibility and monitor and prevent child abuse".

And by 2030 infra-red webcams in your bedroom to monitor spousal abuse and perverted sex acts.

And before you know it, it'll be like 1984 I doubt people will take kindly to being spyed upon more than they already do, and no government will want to be remembered as the people who started spying on kids.
