Why Does God Exist?

We cannot demonstrate that God exists - let me admit that. But that does not stop me from finding solace in someone I have a strong faith in. Finding comfort is enough evidence that God exists. I'm sure you wouldn't find the same consolation if you believe in, say, faries.

Other people have said the above statement, specifically the last, isn't true. I agree with them of course, but I'd be interested to know if you have any reasons for thinking this besides "My god is better than your god, nyah!" If that's all your argument boils down to, don't fucking bother - we Jews spout enough of that shit as it is every Friday night.

Billions have been spent to find the meaning of life. I am still astonished why science has not been able to prove that God does not exist. Why is that? Because God is real and very much part of the universe.

Mostly because science is a toolkit for understanding how things work and why, not what their inherent meaning is. My meaning is plants. Your meaning is a bunch of words originally written on goat skin. For the Muppets' Pigs in Space, it was ravioli.

It has been said before, those are false gods.
