Death is the end of the process that is life. If you disagree then I'm afraid you don't understand what "The end" means. Life isn't a video game where you can hit reset and continue.

You can't hate the person (Hitler) because he's dead. He no longer exists as a person or entity that you can eligibly hate, hence the analogy to Robin Hood, who as far as we know has never existed as a real-life person and thus impossible to legitimately detest. Those who don't exist and those who are dead are in the same category. That's why you can't hate Stalin or why atheists are unable to hate God.
