Time will reveal everything. No matter what the beliefs now, when the time in nigh, everyone will get a second chance; non-believers included.

First off, *you* didn't answer my question.

The *other* atheist? How about you respond to me directly you silly little man or would that conflict with the stick up your ass?
Your future is no future at all. You would cast out any advances we make if it counters your outlook, you would make original thinkers outcasts. We would lose the ability to reevaluate our ideals and become as inflexible as you are.
Anyone who calls that a future cannot have their faculties about them.

I put to you that you are indoctrinated and have lost any ability to make any decision outside of the dogma you've been taught. Respond.

There may be a stick there, but as Christ said it is the log in your eye that keeps you from seeing. How arrogant of you to tell me that I have no future, you know me not. My outlook comes from the original thinker, His mind is so far beyond your small thoughts you are like myself and King David, who said we must appear as grasshoppers to God.
The dogma, as you put it, that I was taught has changed as I've studied scriptures and have discussions with other christians of different denominations. I live in my world view just as you live in your's, the difference is I trust in the Creator who has given me life, twice, and you trust in the ever changing mind of man that in the end will disappoint and led to a dead end.

Yeah, I have a log in my eye. Theres a valid metaphor that makes complete sense. Choice quote there.

Your outlook comes from the corrupt morons who wrote your holy book with the express wish to utterly control whoever read it.
You're right. You do have a future. A future filled with self-enforced guilt, humility and a sense of unworthyness that will plague you for as long as you live in this ridiculous facade. Your thoughts will be restricted because you can't possibly think outside of the little box you were tricked into. You'll pass this on to the people you love because no matter how much you love them you'll always love your imaginary friend more because thats what you've been taught. I just don't consider it a future worth pursuing.
Is that better?

You do not live in a world view, you live in the world with the view someone else used to brainwash you. I don't trust in the ever changing mind of man, I trust that life is a constant state of flux in which I have the privilege to be part of and if I am to do right by it I must perceive it without bias or assumption.

Make of that what you will, I honestly don't care.

No one has tricked me into my belief in God, that was a personal choice I made for myself. I also do not go around asking or telling people what to believe, I will if it comes up tell people about Jesus, but I do not put them on a guilt trip, I witness as Christ asked us to, the rest is up to God, I can not save anyone. Once someone has made a choice to follow God I will help them understand the life they have chosen. As for restricted thought, you have no idea what freedom I have in thought and the life it affords me, you believe I live a life of burden, I do not understand why you believe that, in my acceptance of Christ I'm set free of those things you think burden me.
Life is a constant flux, the reason being, mans constant changing of what he perceives as truth, I rely on the absolute truth of God to get me through life, there is no more stable force.
Why do you insist that men thousands of years ago wrote a book to control me, that has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. If the Bible was written for that purpose then what benefit did these men receive from it, their dead, gone, lunch for worms and ect. This would have had to be the greatest trick ever pulled on man, through the many years the truth would have been revealed.
Let's look at this thing you believe is a trick on mankind. For the sake of argument let's say Jesus was a real historical person, not necessarily God's Son. How is it that such a man could fulfill so many things that were prophesied about him, even to the point of manipulating the Jewish priest to manipulate a Roman governor, to hang him on a cross, because he broke some Jewish religious laws, that said governor could not have cared less about. Then some how pull off a resurrection with witnesses to boot. How is it that he keep the Jewish priest from exposing his body that would have still been in the tomb, if he did not actually rise from the dead, which he would be if he were not the Son of God, dead that is. Then he prophesied the destruction of the temple. How is it that said man, could have known the Jewish nation would be torn apart by Rome, and scattered all over the world, so that the focus coming out of said Jewish nation would be this man. How is it that such a powerful religion could spring up and survive out of all that calamity. I think all this could be worth looking into, could be he was more than a man.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
