Actually, based on what decription of Jesus there is that could plausibly be true, it seem quitely likely to me that Jesus was gay, and even as such couldn't get any except possibly from from his posse of half witted "disciples". So that he might have been celibate out of the sad inability to get any, coupled his appearently dubious parentage, seem to offer a rather more convincing explanation of why he might escape his unsatisfactory predicament through extravagant fantasies of being the son of god.
