#1. Their concerns can be dealt with in a different manner than usurping the democratic process and the preference of the majority. They are looking at hospital visits, inheritance etc. all these matters can be fixed without them marrying each other.

If that were so North Korea would not be torturing its citizens, starving them and China would not be killing so many people etc. Secularism doe snot contribute to lower crime rates as those who claim to be christian yet practice evil things are not really christian and skew the findings.
