The answer to your conundrum is rather simple. I have 78 cards in this deck. Card a is chosen. Card A appears to be the perfect explanation for this universe. But that doesn't mean card's B, C, D, E, F, G, and onward wouldn't have their own explanation for a different universe that could have occurred.
There is hypocrisy in thinking that since card A happened, and it applied to us... that card B couldn't have happened, and applied to something else. Just because one card was drawn... one should not assume that the other 77 cards couldn't have also been drawn... or that they haven't been drawn.
