You're sure as shit right we would. The civil rights and the women's suffrage movements were both considered "small issues" by the majority during their time, but I highly doubt you'd be making similar arguments about them.

I find it funny that you're quick to decry wasting time legalizing gay marriage, but you're all for wasting time outlawing gay marriage; the point here is, you're a bigot. You're a bigot because you're using unemployment as a shield so as to not have to confront the fact that your religion has absolutely nothing to do with your disliking of gay rights, your spiteful hatred of homosexuals does.

And for the record, I'm fairly certain it was your hyper-Christian republican president who fucked up the economy to the point where unemployment is as bad as it is. You are the problem, not us.
