You know what, I can sort of relate to that. I made an adoption plan for my youngest child. I wanted lots of pictures of him too, but you know what the difference is? I was bawling my eyes out in all of them. They're too private and special for me to plaster all over the internet.

I agree that you don't need to be a Christian to understand You just need to have a modicum of empathy for a woman who lost her son instead of getting on some indignant rant about how dare she be religious and post pictures of her child and all that.

Not how dare she be religious and post pictures. How dare she express a repulsive thought such as her invisible sky father USED her son as a tool to bring people closer to him... and be happy about it. That's one sick fucking bitch.

As of March 27th they were STILL having benefit concerts for "the family who chose life". How is that not exploitation? The few women I've met in the same situation chose to terminate their pregnancy, but that doesn't make them bad people. We all have to make our own choices. I suppose they could've done the same as Heather, but I totally understand why they didn't. She certainly not better than any of them, and her smiling face in those photos proves it.

Abortions are fairly inexpensive, btw. Just harder to exploit for donation money.

Its also worth noting that facebook has apologized for removing pictures of her son, and claims that they did so in error.

Since we are both Christians, I hope it is not being too presumptuous of me to say that I hope Heather can draw inspiration from another woman who stood by her dying son until the very end.

Nobody has capitalizes on tragedy like religious institutions. I'm guessing that's where Heather learned to do it.

OK, so we've got fundraisers now. However, do we have access to information on where the donations are going to? I'm not saying she isn't exploiting the situation, I'm saying that we shouldn't assume that she is.
