You almost make it sound like it's your decision. I suppose really it is just what you infer from the bible or have been told by experts interpreting the bible. But you believe it so by all means present it as a foregone conclusion. There can be no room for debate or a difference of opinions when your beliefs rest on the rock of ages, hey? Silly Christians. It must be awfully hard remaining humble and faithful when you're convinced the bible gives you dead certainty and a virtual contract with God.
Because I realize that the God of creation has shown me the truth of His scriptures and that it was not of myself, yes I can stay humble. When I don't, believe me God let's me know in no uncertain terms. You are given the right by God to believe what ever satisfies you, however being satisfied without God is unimaginable to me, I was once in that position.

Wc Wrote:The scriptures contradict you.Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Something that can be destroyed is not regarded as eternal.
As Chadwooters said, the idea in that passage is to ruin. If you would, please notice, the author used the word kill in the first part of the verse to show that only the body dies. Why can't you reason these passages, so many on here call me stupid, however it seems I can reason better than you. Just say'in.
Gc Wrote:I believe that God sees that a person has wasted their life, when they simply would have to give it over to their creator.
Wc Wrote:So is god disappointed in his creation then? Does he regret making mankind?
He said He did before the flood, I can not yet say that's not what He meant, I need to study that passage more. I do think that He meant His regret was that man had turn so far away from Him, and that He regrets having to wipe man off the face of the earth. I do not believe God is disappointed in His creation, His disappointment is with the one's who reject His love.
Gc Wrote:No it is the decisions of the individuals that have made possible for them to spend eternity in hell. God has said, He desires that no one lose their life.
Wc Wrote:Then the plan is not perfect. By your admission, man has royally cocked up god's plans and thwarted his will for them.
No the plan is perfect, God knew how things would go, it's man that is not right with God.
Quote:You should quit cherry picking, for that practice is making you the one who looks dumb. You ever heard the term dumb use for someone who can not hear, it totally applies here, you big dummy.
Wc Wrote:When I pointed to the scriptures and refuted your statement, I had half expected you would have provided a more well-thought-out counterargument of a response. You disappoint me as usual.
You never refuted my statement , the only thing you refuted was your intelligence. Be disappointed in yourself not me, you're the one who doesn't understand the scripture you posted.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
