How does a platypus give creationist any problem at all, the evolutionist needs to find the fossils that lead up to this very unusual mammal, then the creationist might have a problem. God knew evolution was coming down the line, He made the platypus to drive them nuts, and He has done that. All I can say, get digg'in evolutionist, them fossils might be out there some where.
Erm, since the platypus is itself a rare animal, and is also aquatic, finding an ancient fossil relative is unlikely, though not impossible. The fact that they contain reptilian, avian, and mammalian characteristics is actually evidence for evolution, not evidence against it. It is exactly the kind of animal one would expect as being transitional - that said, the fact is that ALL species are transitional. And that is the greatest problem of all for creationists.
