So why did god created this material environment for the souls? After all he/she/it is a non-material entity, is it? What is the point of having this tiny stage in time where for a split second we are material only to spend the rest of the eternity in an immaterial state? Sounds similar to considering a day to be good or bad by what happened during its first nanosecond.
Another question, why you religious people are so sad when someone dies? Doesn't that mean the respective soul found its way to heaven? What can be more joyful? You should party hard when your parents or children pass away, not mourn. What is the actual loss in your view?
