LOL, yep, and you can help yourself to some long pork while you're at it.
WRT to MREs, the ones we had in 1987-1993 were universally horrific and more or less indistinguishable from one another. I shit you not, the turkey loaf and beans and weenies were probably the entrees that were the closest thing to edible that I ever saw. It was a happy day when I got peanut butter and crackers - that at least was recognizable as food.
The best thing about MREs? It made the field chow seem more palatable.
