I do not believe in the NWO stuff or Illuminati, but some of those conspiracy theorists are very forgivable. Just consider some facts.
I could on, but the point is, the conspiracy theorists seem incorrect. But at least they are not as obsequious and naively trusting as many of the people who laugh at them.
- There were not weapons of mass destruction but lots of hype from the mainstream media that is sponsored by defense contractors.
- The United States went into Iraq and Libya. There have been drone strikes in Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia.
- Virtually nobody denies that major corporations have significant influence over the government via lobbyists.
- After deregulation of financial firms played a huge role in the recent recession, the original legislation (Glass-Steagall) that could have prevented that contributing problem was never brought back. Big banks appear in the top contributors list for both presidential candidates.
- Historically, governments have been tyrannical and oppressed their people in awful ways. Even now, there are dictatorial governments like that around the world. (To me, it does not seem far fetched to wonder if history will repeat itself.)
- Few people deny that civil liberties are at least gradually eroding after NSA whistleblowers coming out, PATRIOT Act complaints circulating, TSA searches being posted online, etc.
- Do NOT take this as me buying the conspiracy theory, because I don't, but I saw a YouTube video where Alex Jones explicitly predicted the twin towers would be attacked and the government would blame it on Osama Bin Laden.
