Nope, I know someone that has one - not gonna work for demanding games. You really need a good dedicated card (rather than the on-chip integrated graphics). My second laptop has a dedicated mid-range nVidia card and that's marginal on many titles. My newer laptop (w/nVidia GT555M) does fine.
You could run plenty of older and/or non-graphic intensive titles for sure (which is not a terrible things - there's lots of older stuff worth playing if games interest you at all).

Heh -- I've a GT420M for my Acer's secondary card. Yours is one generation after mine. Games will play nicely on it.
My old laptop has a GT525M, faster than the GT420M I think, but not by much. Worked well most of the time on most games, with reduced settings on some. Running at native 1080 HD resolution is a lot to ask.

The GT555M is quite a bit better, but came at a price of course.
