You sure about that? It has been my experience that atheist tend to want to deny the possibility that someone could go from enlightened, logical, reasonable, rational and all of the things they see as atheist to having a well informed belief in the Bible.
For example, if you ask an atheist to define what it means they will go to all sorts of trouble to point out that it simply means not to believe in God, but when you tell them you were once an atheist they call you a liar or say that you weren't a real atheist.
From as far back as I can remember until I was 27 years old I was taught, and then firmly believed that the belief in God was the product of ignorant, superstitious, hypocritical, fools who want nothing more than to tell everyone else how to live.
And in fact, I still think that for the most part, this is true.

When I was 27 years old I decided that I ought to start an intense study of the Bible so that I could have some information behind my skepticism and instead I learned that organized religion was even worse than I thought, but the Bible was altogether different.
So if that doesn't fit the ever changing litmus for having been an approved atheist, then fuck it. I was never one to fit in with group mentality.
