Do Christians here really believe this? Or I am misunderstanding?
No, you're not misunderstanding. Christians are misunderstanding their own holy book. There is a positiveness to the average naive understanding of the Christian bible. They believe God to be all loving and that they should treat their neighbor with love, kindness, and to forgive. Luckily, they don't read the book they claim to follow. Christianity is actually a horrible religion, if read correctly, all the "old testament" laws would still be in effect. According to Yahweh (who can suck my circumcised dick for all I care), an innocent woman must marry her rapist and never divorce, disorderly children must be stoned to death, women should keep their mouth shut and dress modestly, and baby boys must have their penises mutilated.
