Is it accurate to say, all Christians have been guided by the holy spirit, while non-Christians love the darkness over the light?
Do Christians here really believe this? Or I am misunderstanding?
I think you're taking it too literally. The only way I can "see" the positive in Christianity is to read the bible generously and intelligently. In other words, not literally. When Jesus says he is the way, he doesn't mean you have to suck his ball to get right with God. He means the "I" universally. To follow Jesus is to follow his example by finding God within. No after life, no payoff for anything. Just get it and enjoy the view.
Personally I have no more use for the bible than I do for any other wisdom book. Hell there is even an Alan Watts book that will probably get you a better view with a lot less excess verbiage. Or just get what there is to get and then get on with it. Leave all the boats behind. We're there man.
