Ok folks can I officially call this guy a dick?

Again not being critical of you personally, but if you have fallen from belief and at the core beliefs center around an alergorical calling to slavery, then it is not unreasonable to draw the conclusion that you were not ready to heed your Master's call to service, because you thought it to be alegorical as well. When you failed to show or ignored the gifts you were responsiable for, what was given or intrusted to you was taken back and given to someone else. Leaving you with a hole where your relationship should have been.

We are called out as literal slaves to sin. (In that our will has been given over to the parameters and consenquence of sin) To become Slaves of Christ. who BTW is not the task master from roots as most of you think him to be. For we are told many many time His burden is easy and his yoke is lite. If you conscribe yourself to God and find yourself more oppressed than when you were under the rule of sin then you might want to check to see if you are actually following the God of the bible and not some religious movement that falsly uses the name of God. That said know that as a Slave to Christ you will be called to serve. Not all are called to the same area of service, but all are eventually called to serve in one way or another.

Your conclusions you jump to are a bit odd. I was deconverted after reading up on theology. If your interested read my intro thread.

About all the rest why do you continue to insist I don''t know or understand Christian theology, specifically the theology about the slave analogy? Do you read anything I post? Is there any point in continuing a conversation with you? I'm talking about Pat Robertson's statement and what the Old Testament says about slavery and you keep ignoring the topic of this thread so you can divert it from it's original topic. I have found that this is a tactic used when people know they are loosing an argument and you were loosing the original argument. You also are using every opportunity you can to preach. Preaching is rude and disrespectful in that it shuts off any honest two way communication. It disengages you from any responsibility to listen. You can drown out the other people with your noise. It may make you feel better. It may allow you to remain in your denial of the truth because you don't have to even acknowledge there may be more beyond what you believe. Either way this is of no concern to me. What is a concern to me is dealing with a dick who does not give a damn about what I say. I am wasting my time with you. If you want to speak, speak to the air. If you want to have a real conversation you must listen. You can start by reading other people's posts, not playing little games (games that people on this forum have seen far too many times from far too many Christians who are loosing debates), and not preaching.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise
