Quote:About all the rest why do you continue to insist I don''t know or understand Christian theology, specifically the theology about the slave analogy? Do you read anything I post? Is there any point in continuing a conversation with you? I'm talking about Pat Robertson's statement and what the Old Testament says about slavery and you keep ignoring the topic of this thread so you can divert it from it's original topic.
I have not hi jacked anything I have done nothing but answer the questions asked.

Quote: I have found that this is a tactic used when people know they are loosing an argument and you were loosing the original argument. You also are using every opportunity you can to preach.
I have shown your orginal assertion to be slanderous at best. I showed (cut and pasted) where you claim Pat said x about cherry picking the bible, and 'x' wasn't even mentioned in the clip in any way shape or form. As far as any resonable person would be concerned at this point your orginal conclusion has been shown to be misleading. That's when others started to seek a better understanding of my take on slavery. (to either persecute me for my 'acharic' beliefs or call me a hipocrite for cherry picking.) to which I turned the tables and showed you all how we all live as slaves, and as benficiaries of litteral modern day slave labor.

This wasn't something I soap boxed from my own will to speak/"preach." This was dragged out over 7 pages of continuous challenges to me and what I believe. to the point where i grew very weary of the level of hyprocrisy or ignorance being proudly paraded before me. For I was constantly being slighted for acknoweledging slavery in a modern context, while you all soap boxed from your high horses about how all slavery was always a bad thing. Never mind the fact the creature comforts you take for granted, or should I say your/our whole modern consumer life style was built on the backs of modern day slaves! but because these slaves are Modern day and yellow and not 16th century and black no one wants to acknoweledge them or their contribution to our soceity. why? because you all refuse to look at this word outside the prameters established to honor the African american slave. again nothing wrong with doing that, but at the same time do not close your mind to everything else, just because it is beyond how you have been told to think about something.

Quote:Preaching is rude and disrespectful in that it shuts off any honest two way communication.
Then don't do it. Your following 'speech' is a good example:

Quote: It disengages you from any responsibility to listen. You can drown out the other people with your noise. It may make you feel better. It may allow you to remain in your denial of the truth because you don't have to even acknowledge there may be more beyond what you believe. Either way this is of no concern to me. What is a concern to me is dealing with a dick who does not give a damn about what I say. I am wasting my time with you. If you want to speak, speak to the air. If you want to have a real conversation you must listen. You can start by reading other people's posts, not playing little games (games that people on this forum have seen far too many times from far too many Christians who are loosing debates), and not preaching.

If you want me to re address something then re state it or give me a post number. as far as I know i have addressed everything you posted.

I rather thought that proselytizing was a bannable offense.

It seem too many trips to the pink pony has left you confused as to which website your on. For you see the .com variant of Atheist forms is the one your thinking of. where members are allowed to ask Questions that require a biblically based answers, and then ban members who supply them, simply by having an established member use the word "proselytize" over and over again in their posts. The .org version allows or should I say encourages real thought and doesn't ban the first guy who produces a post that requires some out of box thinking to respond to. Thankfuly the Adminstration here want to inspire true thought and dialoge, rather than recreate the same type of santuary the .com version of this website has become. A place that bans people for unpopular thought.
