You keep jumping around. Are we going to talk about fallible, limited mortals or about God?

Is 'the Father' in your analogy limited to the resources available to the times?

I may not always follow your reasoning, but your sentiments seem in order.

Okay. Me too.

Um, I am not saying that if there is a God, it has not provided an abundance, but if there is, it has distributed it unevenly around the world such that there are some places more abundant than others, and we hadn't a hope of distributing it evenly until the last century or so and now that it's feasible we're starting to make progress. It's a poor craftsman who blames his tools.

Almost everybody's.

That has nothing to do with cursing all the descendants of Adam and Eve because of the fruit incident?

So you're saying that God is unable to provide us with wisdom and temperance and humility without us suffering? What will we need temperance and wisdom for in heaven? How will we maintain our temperance and wisdom in heaven if there isn't suffering there?

While GC isn't any better than we expect him to be, I take him at his word that he gives to charities and otherwise helps others. His contempt for atheists doesn't mean he holds the disadvantaged in similar contempt...unless they're disadvantaged atheists, I suppose. I understand why you're angry though, I was for a minute myself about that post and expect there will be future ones that provoke the same feeling.
Good on you for the work you do, btw.

You sir have no idea of my work with others, it's none of your business and never will be, I am taught by Christ not to brag on the work I do for others, to brag makes one look like a idiot, you idiot. You could not care less for those children in Africa, thank God He does, and He will receive them unto Himself in heaven, each one will be welcomed with great cheering and celebration by the heavenly host, they each will receive a mansion to live in. For you, sense you mentioned it will receive nothing but the punishment of hell for your hatred and bragging about yourself, you care more for what you do than for the ones who need the help, it's all about you, a selfish, self centered little jerk.
Dueling temper tantrums! Clearly, you're the child of the God of Abraham.

By the way when people on this forum call me a liar I do not see you admonishing them for their choice of words.
I know of plenty, I was raised by them. Try Googling 'Does God torture people' if you want to view an assortment of opinions on the matter. Is it your position that God doesn't torture people because hell automatically tortures people so God doesn't have to be actively involved, or are you a Universalist?
Are you assuming I've read a post where someone calls you a liar and let it slide? The Law of Charity applies to that assumption as well.

I wonder who is going to stop escalating the insult war first, the atheists or the Christian?
