Jobs are created by demand. Higher paid workers create demand and therefore more jobs. (not to mention pay proportionately more taxes)

Australia does not sodomise its workers as does the US. However, we have one of the healthiest economies and are the fourth wealthiest nation on the planet..(the US is 16th)

Here our tax threshold is $18000 PA.
