At the risk of asking a question that's already been asked:
If slavery wasn't such a big deal in OT times, why did God spend so much effort removing the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt? Or was it just bad for Hebrews to be slaves, but perfectly okay for anyone not Hebrew to be one?
Or is the original premise - that the Judeo/Christian god is a cunt (meaning that his followers are, since "he" doesn't actually exist) - the only logical answer?
