It just humbles it to an extent and makes it a very strong argument, but not a knock out one.
I myself am not satisfied with "I don't know nor do I have to...", rather I want to exhaust all possible explanations. I'm not satisfied with "The Lord ways are mysterious".

Cool, now tell me why you think an omnibenevolent God doesn't contradict a world with any suffering at all, much less the world with live in now. There literally cannot be any reason for a perfectly good God to create a world with any suffering at all.
If I can think of a world with less suffering, then why can't a God? But, that's really a separate question.
My conclusion is that there is no reason to believe any of the dogmas of traditional theology and, further, that there is no reason to wish that they were true.
