There's always an extinction event. It matters very little so long as we don't appear on the roll call. I humbly suggest that of all life ever to grace this rock, we may be the best equipped to escape extinction. We don't have to rely on a roll of the dice. Again, I'm not trying to downplay any concerns as non-issues, but I'd rather they become actual issues -where we spend more time discussing solutions-, than generic street corner doomsday shit, rgr? My frustration here isn't really due to anything in the thread in it's entirety, like I said, I have this discussion at least twice daily..hehe.
The potential death tolls and disasters appeal to our sense of the macabre, I get it, but at some point you hear it all a thousand times and it stars sounding like so:
"We're all going to die"
-That sounds horrible, what are we going to do about it?
"We're all going to die"
-Stop wasting my time.....especially....if we're all going to die.
"We're all going to die"
-Die in a fire you son of a bitch.
