Or, and this is likely the more plausible option, one's sexuality is one of the most meaningful aspects of the existence of humanity. The mere fact that all of us who exist are so as product of sexuality should tell you that the topic at least somewhat of an important thing. It would only make sense to look into then as something merely frivolously secular.
And that's just the thing, anything that has lofty importance -- a meaning beyond frivolity -- is bound to exit secularism. Sexuality is one such topic. Of course, you can treat it frivolously, but then you'd have to prove (at least to your own conscience) that it isn't something of any important ideal, or else supersede your conscience into making some false idealism out of your frivolous use of the action.
In the end, do and believe as you will. But ultimately, only what is True is what matters.
