After reading that link which aleialoura kindly supplied, I wonder if these American "Christian Conservatives" have closely read their bible.

I am wondering, because I have done this and came under the impression that capitalism was a evil system, because it considers a certain level of greed as a good thing. Also that Jesus and the other "Apostles" preached a form of socialism or even communism (at least for Christian community).

Let’s just say your average conservative American Evangelical Christian interprets the Bible a bit differently than you do.

On a side note to that I read an article a while back that said one’s political beliefs were more likely to affect religious beliefs than vice versa.
