A another thing which mystifies me about American Conservative Christians, is their Zionism. The New Testament (in particular the Pauline epistles) say that the Jewish people have been replaced by a "spiritual" Israel which is composed of those who confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. Therefore even Jews in order to be saved, need to confess Jesus as their lord and savior.

I know a "Reformed Evangelical" who sides with the Palestinians because of what I have described above and his interpretation is pretty sound. So If I were a Christian I would be more critical of Israel's policies towards the Palestinians than I am now and see the only way to resolving the Jewish-Arab conflict is the conversion of both the Jews and Arabs to Christianity.
