Somewhere out there junkies are choosing Krokodil over plain old codeine or morphine.

Junkies won't even bother with codeine as it is too weak, and they would only use morphine if they can't get anything stronger. Oxycontin is the big drug for junkies, which is a medical grade opiate very similar to heroin in its effects, but it is very expensive. Junkies can put $80 dollars worth of it in their arm in one shot. I have a feeling the idea of combining codeine with gasoline came about because codeine is super, super cheap and combining it with gas created a super cheap, strong high. Junkies will do crazy shit to get high.
