A phoney veil of tolerance is a phoney veil, regardless of the origin.
If anything, by removing the term 'liberal' from your quote diminishes none of the meaning while not making you look out to be a retard who appends 'liberal' to everything.
It also prevents the question of, if 'liberals' have such a phoney tolerance, what does that say for the other wing?
