It becomes a concern eventually. You can pump people full of enough propaganda that they vote against their own interests and I'm amazed at how well it has worked for them so far. But how much can you really squeeze blood out of people before they eventually wise up as to who is squeezing them? Romney/Ryan will take the pain to a whole new high for the poor and middle class. Historians may look back at that in centuries to come as a case study of how far you can push a people before Fox propaganda no longer distracts them.
I'm not saying I'm right. Hey, 2004 taught me some hard lessons to not underestimate how effective propaganda can be. Maybe Lincoln was wrong and you really can fool all of the people all of the time. I'm just saying I don't want that put to the test because I don't see it ending well.
