I'd like to share this picture with you all. This is my favourite photograph taken on the Lunar surface, by Buzz Aldrin:
Ok, you're now asking yourselves, why that photo? What's so special about it?
Well, it's my favourite because of what happened next:
The Apollo Lunar Surface Journal, from which these pictures were taken, contains every historical document and article about all seven Apollo Lunar missions (including the ill-fated Apollo XIII); high-resolution scans of photographs, mission reports, flight plans, video footage, transcripts of radio communications - you name it, they've got it.
In my opinion, the ultimate tribute not only to Neil Armstrong and his crew, but to the entire Apollo endeavour.
