No, I can't go under philosophy because I don't know any philosophy and the terms frighten me. I wouldn't argue for God either cos it's a lost cause if one does. It's simple. God to me isn't a being. But we speak of him as a being the way the old miracle plays talked about attributes as people and so you have Honesty slapping Sloth etc. That's all there is to it. I have no great philosophical thesis on such a basic thought.

Ah, fair enough. Surely this simple thought though is what drives you to say things like "the Bible isn't reliable" (or something like that. I saw it in another thread).

I say the Bible isn't reliable because that's true. I got that from Bart Ehrman. I first borrowed Ehrman's book from my vicar who keeps a lot of books in the vestry and I just loved it.
