Well you're in a better place now (see what I did there?)
Anyhow, and no offense meant, you do sound much more like a deist who enjoys the trappings of the CoE than your average Christian.
What are your thoughts on the resurrection?
The only place you can really find any mention of the resurrection is the gospels. But the gospels were written by terribly superstitious folks. One example is in St Matthew, the writer (who's probably some unknown Hellenistic Christian and not St Matthew himself) tells us how when Jesus died, many holy people rose from the dead and they walked from their tombs to the town and many people saw them. Did that happen? I'm sure even the most diehard fundamentalist will have to admit it didn't happen. Come on, if it did, surely there would be accounts of such a phenomenal thing in other writings. So, if that didn't happen as any sane chap must admit, did the resurrection of Jesus happen?
There's another piece of evidence. The Gospels all contradict one another like crazy. But when it comes to the resurrection account, they contradict themselves a thousand times more. So what does that tell us about the reliability of the resurrection account?
Any honest Christian surely must agree with me.
