A lot of people said that in 2000 and it's part of why Bush wound up winning the election. So, look at what was accomplished during 8 years of a Democrat in the white house (Clinton) vs. 8 years of what happened with a Republican in a white house.
The biggest terrorist attack in American history? That happened under Bush. The housing market crash and subsequent bailouts? Bush. Billions spent on questionable military actions? Bush.
After seeing what Republicans do when they're in power, I will never say the Democrats are like them. Sure, the party ain't perfect and there's a lot I'd like to change, but the Republican party is turning into the party of Voldemort. As bad as the Dems are, the Republicans are far worse.
The legacy from the Clinton Presidency was economic collapse (well that's what I see we are in now). It's because of the deregulation started under his term that we had the 2006 subprime mortgage crisis that brought down the banking industry and lead to a domino effect....Bush is guilty of wasting hundreds of billions on the War in Iraq and his tax cuts (that did not really do anything one way or the other under his term....they should have ended under his term), money which could have been used as a buffer, but that would have only served to delay the inevitable.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
