I was furious with Vinny the first time I saw his posts and I knew he was trying to irritate, slander and vilify the good name of atheists. I tried attacking him and many atheists tell me not to do so. So now, I blaspheme my own religion and you guys say I'm lame. I'm convinced the atheists here are masochists.

You're welcome to attack Vinny's arguments, his expression of them and such. You are not welcome to attack his person. That's just lame. And often a violation of forum rules.

There's an old saying that I don't completely agree with that says that nobody can insult you without your permission.
Atheists generally prefer to take the high ground. But that's something that may be out of your reach.


For what it's worth, the word pneuma is one that has a rich history in ancient Greek philosophy of the time, and has nuances which your inept translation of "wind" completely miss. (You'll notice in my profile I use the rank or title of "phantasia kataleptike" — that's a technical term from Stoic epistemology, the nature of which requires an accurate understanding of the role of pneuma in Stoic ontology and psychology to fully grasp.) The Hebrew word used in the Old Testament is nismat, which is most closely translated as 'breath', as in from the lungs. There is no direct one to one equivalency between the Hebrew terms referring to life, the vital force, and the soul, so there is no exact equivalent in the Koine Greek, but your collapsing it down into "wind" only highlights your ignorance. Not to mention, as noted, it's not particularly clever or funny.
