Holy Tree

Holy Tree
So in my home town there's this Ginko tree that had a small wound... Apparently, this wound has the shape of the virgin Mary... Well, it didn't take long for madness to ensue. Before you knew it, people were gathered by the dozens, group prayers were held, flowers, gifts, offerings and candles were placed... They even had to baricade it cause there were too many people and its a street tree on a main commerical street in town... as congested with people and cars this town is, that street lost a parking spot cause no one would move so the town painted the curb yellow and designated it a no parking spot.....

This was 3 years ago... Even then, when I was a believer, I was dumfounded by this cause it was JUST A WOUND ON A TREE!
at one point, the leaves on the lower branches even caught fire from all the candles.. SMH

Well, I stopped by this tree yesterday on my way to see my dad and was not surprised by what I found... The once healthy, vigorous (for a street tree in a busy area) tree, was now dead...

Take a look at the photos... the first is from 3 years ago when this first happened... The rest are pics I took yesterday...

The second video (on the bottom) shows that if you look just hard enough for meaning, you will find it... The girl who "discovered" it said, at first I didnt see it.. it took a while... and then saw what she wanted to see and it blew up...

Screw that - post more vagina.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I really can't fathom this kind of mentality. Your critical thinking has to be just completely absent.

Humans are so good at seeing patterns that we see them even when they aren't there. Religion thrives on this kind of gap filling.

Why are they worshipping a god who communicates in such idiotic ways?

"People starving? Fuck that, it's free will. I'm gonna go mess with a tree."
