Been keeping tabs on the Muslim riots story, curious how two different values interplay on the issue of free speech versus sacrosanctitude (look it up. im kidding don't i made it up).
The overall theme seems to be, at least in the west, "Free speech ought to be respected". CNN is even reporting on Muslims who believe this. No defense of the other position, no favorable reporting of it.
So we all agree! Free speech, even if it's offensive!
But how willing would we be if it were offensive against things we cared about? After all, isn't the true measure of the value of free speech measured by how we preserve it when it offends us, rather than offends others?
It's easy to say you respect free speech when you're not being inconvenienced by it.
But if you truly respect free speech, you will be willing to tolerate inconvenience and insult yourself. Not others.
And that point should, I believe put the thread title into a little perspective. Do you value free speech enough to hear that? Do you value free speech enough to blaspheme atheism?
What about blaspheming your family and friends? Your values? Your nation? Yourself?
How much do YOU value free speech?
Yes, I value free speech. As I've told you before, Vinny, you are proof positive that the Holy Spirit is nothing more than Holy Flatulence. The Bible calls the Holy Spirit "pneuma" which means "wind". The Creed says that the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. Now, I ask you, what's wind that proceeds from the father and the son, if it's not FART?
From all of Vinny's posts, I find that he must be full of the Holy Flatulence. It comes out from various orifices in his body so freely and so odoriferously.
I value free speech so much that I type it in capitals so that my free speech is more visible than your free speech.
Now I will insert a laughing emote to emphasise my point.

Calm down, normal font is fine you know.
