God is not going to 'chase' after you. God has commanded that we Seek Him. Meaning He is not going to run around seeking us. Now if we do seek Him out as outlined in Luke 11 then yes He knows what you need to obtain and sustain a proper belief, and you have been promised a Measure of what you need to start with. Just understand God isn't going to run you down and do a very specific magic routine in order to win your favor.
If you want to know God then you will humble yourself and approach Him as He has commanded. It is only then that you will be given what you need to have your 'proof.'
