I agree with FrankkieJ in that 'you' have nothing to appologize for; however, I look beyond personal accountabily for the sake of continuing dialogue. What you need to realize is that Christians hide behind a scheme where 'they' are not held accountable; Christ died for their sins, right? The idea of vicarious atonement is reprehensible, but this is exactly the basis of Christianity. It's the most disgusting moral code ever invented.
The difference of opinion isn't the issue. The issue is that Christians continue to use this standard combined with an ancient text to attempt to dictate how I should conduct my life. This is where my understanding stops and I become unhinged. I would give great latitude to Christians if they only had the common decency to keep it to themselves; however, they seem hell bent on making me play by rules of life invoked by men living two centuries ago.
Two centuries ago? (Okay, I'm just being an ass, but it's always funny when someone gets part way through a rant and then runs out of talent. Carry on.)
