Umm... You admit the reality of the situation was this was a pre-planned attack. But pre-planned by whom? By terrorists... Who didn't want us to spoil their fun and kept it a secret. You can expect a lot from government, but omniscience is not possible.
Festive I'm not following you here. I've not offered or heard any criticism of the government for not knowing about an attack in advance. The criticism has been for 1) blaming it on a YouTube video when they knew otherwise, and 2) we have now learned that the fighting went on for more than six hours, and that during that time our people were calling for help which was denied (by whom is not clear - the CIA has said publicly that they did not deny the support). Our people (the two SEALS) who were killed were laser targeting the mortar sites that ultimately killed them (at the end of six hours +) but no support helicopters, armed-drones or aircraft were sent to fire laser-guided weapons. We had surveillance drones overhead so the White House, Pentagon, CIA and State Department could literally watch the whole thing, and did so for six+ hours and did nothing. Then they went on TV, blamed the YouTube video, and arrested the video maker, who remains in custody today.
Spare me the typical diatribes about FoxNews, but if you want to understand what happened at Benghazi watch their report on it today Saturday @ 1PM ET or Sunday @ 3PM & 10PM ET.
