Was brought up in an atheistic environment. My father has always been an atheist and my mother was never really sure about the whole god thing but she put it all aside and said she didn't want to hear about it. She made it clear that she wants nothing to do with religion. Only my nan and uncle are theists. I never attended church and never gave much thought or time on religion. Went to church on a one off school trip but saw the whole thing as a pile of shit. Years went by and the thought of religion never entered my mind. During my high school, years later the subject would once again emerge only to be made a joke of. I'd draw churches on fire and such and deliver it to my R.E teacher to make it clear that I'm no interested. Eventually I managed to leave R.E classes and was once again free from bullshit. Way after my last days of high school and way past my first flight training introduction the subject would come around again. This time online. Offline I never debate religion nor pay any attention to it but online I am willing to debate it. If you came to me about the subject of religion offline I'd tell you to keep it to yourself. Religion doesn't exist to me, god doesn't exist to me and nor does some afterlife. Only online I'd debate it.
All in all, I have never been religious. I never baught the story. My upbringing is of an atheistic one. I was given the freedom to go to church and believe but didn't. Through out my whole life religion has never played a role in my life. Never has and never will.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
